OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Uganda Union is to proclaim to all people the everlasting gospel in the context of the three Angels’ messages of Revelation 14:6-12, leading them to accept Jesus Christ as personal savior and to unite with His church and nurture them in preparation for His soon return.
MISSION WORK
The mission work is steadily growing both in physical infrastructures as well as membership. Our membership stands at 128,000 by 1st quarter 2003. Church members are involved in evangelism that baptisms are being reported from our fields every quarter.
OUR VISION
In harmony with the great prophecies of scriptures we see as the climax of God’s plan the restoration of all His creation to full harmony, with His perfect will and righteousness. We also envision that as we wait for His Second Advent, physical, mental, social and spiritual facilities of the people be developed to maximum potential in hope and trust. We strive become a Union Conference in the near future.
OUR HISTORY
Uganda Union Mission was organized on January 1987.
The Union territory occupies the whole country of the Republic of Uganda. This area is sub-divided into four (4) fields and 2 missions.
location: The offices are located on Makerere road opposite the Law Development Center just below Makerere University.
The Uganda Union has ministered in many areas in Uganda; as the target was. This work is done in different ways. 179 Primary schools and 35 secondary schools in production on Top of one University (Bugema University). In Health ministries, we have one Hospital at Ishaka and 23 Clinics and dispensaries; other Infrastructure for both health units and schools are under construction.
The radio station that broadcasts at frequency of 91.9hz, and it covers 75% of the southern, central and Eastern regions of the country. The TV station which is now under construction is among the big strategies to simplify the work of Evangelism ministry. This station is aimed to cover a wide range of transmission in the country.
The Institute of Information technology is already in progress, The union has made conformed to transform it programs and works to suite the world technology standard, this can only be done through training its people the new up coming technologies to help in the ministries in Gods wo
We also own one Press known as Upper Nile Press.
ADRA Uganda, our arm and agency in development and Relief, has a very extensive and intensive program in most parts of the country. It is assumed that it is the best operated on the continent of Africa. In recent months ADRA’s work entered Karamoja the region most neglected and less developed. We hope to have an impact on our brothers there if government guarantees security.
